The word Capisco is derived from Latin and means "to understand" describing a chair the fully
understands the human desire and need for movement.
The "saddle seat" model embellishes an ideal method of dynamic seating. Its distinctive and ergonomic
shape invites variation and movement by allowing the knees to rest lower than the hips which even w/o
a back promotes good spinal posture as well as a healthy position of the hip joint. (May be inappropriate for a
woman wearing a dress) This feature also facilitates using the Capisco as an ergonomic "stool" by simply raising the seat to higher levels.
Additionally, the shape of the seat and back allow for great freedom of arm movement and sitting
in a side saddle position as well (just for variation and movement which is so key to long term sitting).
Other seat pans for this chair are available that although slightly less ergonomic, are more amenable to
work in a dress: The Button (Capisco 8115) - great for petite men or women who don't need a large seat pan
and prefer not to sit in saddle design, and the Bench (Capisco 8125) - more like a seat on a conventional task chair design.
NEW FEATURE: The Capisco is now available with the same headrest as the Hag Credo.
